Emotion Recognition Demo
Meet 'Tetchy the turtle' - an online demo of our emotion recognition systems
The demo work in your web browser and you don't need to download any other software
You will need a microphone connected to your PC
Select in your volume control panel to record from the microphone
Move the microphone slider to full volume in the volume control panel
Don't use any software or hardware noise reduction microphones
Don't use any volume (gain) normalising microphones
Be close to the microphone when speaking
When you click on the link below Tetchy the Turtle will load. You will be presented with a window to accept a certificate (see below). Please feel free to click YES to this
The demo will then check your system and display messages such as 'Testing System Memory' and 'Precache Frames' etc. This should only take a few seconds and the main demo window will appear (see below)
First you should select male or female from the top right options
You can then click on Listen and talk for 4 seconds in an emotional state (eg frustrated, extremely angry, bored, sad, grief-striken, happy or surprised)
After 4 seconds the system will stop listening to you and will send your recording to us to process
After a few seconds you should see the response from our automatic emotion recognition system
Tetchy the Turtle will adopt the same mood as you
Over time Tetchy will become moody exhibiting your overal emotion state
